Plum and Erika/Cale

While Erika helps us find the perfect home as a Real Estate agent, and Cail is out saving our homes as a Firefighter, they know that the only way to make their house a home is to add a new four-legged family member named Plum.

Erika and Cail waited patiently to take home a fur baby. Erika, new to pet parenthood, and Cail, desperate to have a pup of his own, finally decided on a sweet little Plum born one kilometre from a Winlaw showing for Erika. She took Cail to the farm to look at the puppies, only to have a little one run up to greet them and follow them for the rest of the visit. They decided to sleep on it, knowing full well that they would return to Winlaw to pick up their new ‘baby.’ Now Plum is doted upon like a daughter and has solidified a deep bond between them.

Plum’s parents are busy professionals and didn’t want to take Plum from a farm of friendly animals to an empty home. This was when the brother of an employee at Lucky Leash Doggy Daycare told them how great this daycare was. Plum’s first few days were tricky because she was so scared and shy of other dogs. She sat in a corner as soon as she got there. But with a little time and short sessions, Plum is now a social pro, and now she confidently greets shy new dogs with love and her toys to share.
